Cat Eye Problems

Thank God none of my cats have ever had eye problems! First of all, if you  notice anything unusual about your cat’s eyes, runny, redness, swelling, or squinting, take him to the veterinarian. Depending upon the diagnosis, you may be referred to a board certified eye specialist or ophthalmologist.

Eye trauma is common for cats usually caused by fights with other cats or dog bites. Conjunctivitis is another common eye problem and might be chronic for your cat. Cats want to rub their eyes and this can cause more harm to the eye problem. Well, I’m not a veterinarian, I only hope that you will take your cat in for treatment of any unusual eye symptoms.  Hugs, Rosalyn
